Correiros is the portuguese word for post-office. You can buy stamps not only at the post-office but also in shops with the red-white Correiros-sign.
The banks in Portugal are opened from Monday till Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can comfortably use the EC-machine. Don't forget to ask your bank, whether it is possible to use your cards over there.
The net of the telephone boxes has been modernised in Portugal. There are cards and coin telephones. If you take your mobile telephone along, first clear whether your rate is allowed for making a telephone call in Portugal.
