They are useful to decorate churches, façades of houses, beer cellars, store fronts, palaces, mansions, park benches and more. Their origin comes from Seville, Spain.However the Azulejos began a triumphal march in Portugal and was soon the trademark of the country. The technique for the production was developed since the 15th century. The art used the new techniques for more magnificent representations. The blue and white tiles are predominant.Designs of the daily life and historical scenes of Portugal were preferred.
